Ran across a great report on Tech Salaries. Amazes me that COBOL is still listed and is a high paying skill. An amazing number of business including most credit card companies still use COBOL as their primary language. See Is there still a market for Cobol skills/developers? COBOL programmers are dying off and retiring. And almost no school is teaching it anymore. There is too much of the old code to rewrite programs in newer languages. But they still need to be maintained. The average person interacts with a COBOL program 13 times a day!! Anyway here is the Dice Tech Salary Survey Enjoy!
